  • I initially went to Dr. Davies Orchard in Congers, NY, which boasts on their website that they have 4,000 trees on 35 acres acres. The cost for entry at Dr. Davies was $37, which seemed pricey for me ...  read more »

  • Disappointing Visit Upon arrival, small sign says. "Orchard Closed". Nothing posted on website Bakery doing great business however. Would not return.
  • We went on a weekday, it was best time to go. No large crowds. They have a shop inside with really good pastries, pies and donuts. The apple cider was good too. We got really good apples from the trees in the far back. Worth it.
  • "It's against our policy to give out the hot cider donuts"...will forever be how I recall Wilkens farm. I'm terribly disappointed to write this review, but after 5+ years of coming here our last two years have declined dramatically. What once was an idyllic place now struggles with balancing profit and customer service with the hoards of people due to its proximity to the city. Last year, like Diana below, they forced us to pick apples out of wooden crates, and we were told we couldn't pick off the trees. This year, after waiting in line for 45 minutes for our "hot cider donuts" and asking specifically for warm donuts, we were told they couldn't do that or everyone would want hot donuts. Imagine. Sad to say my hundreds of seasonal dollars per quarter would be better spent at Fishkill or another one of the nearby farms, who, in spite of the increasing popularity, have remained true to thier roots of enjoying what they do and accommodating those who seek a real farm to mouth experience with happy customers.
  • This is a fantastic place to take your children for apple picking as you are surrounded by young workers learning the basics of working with people and food! Amazing cider donuts! Always the place to be during the fall apple picking season! Perfect place to start a family tradition!
  • This is a great place to go with the family, we have a great time, and got plenty of apples, and apple products. If you can get there, you will enjoy it.
  • Very unhappy with our experience. Barely any apples. We were told to just pick from the wooden crates... if I wanted to just grab an apple out of crate I can do that at the supermarket for less. If you want a truly fantastic experience take the 25 minute drive to Fishkill Farms, or opt to pick vegetables instead at Hilltop Hanover in Yorktown!
