  • Terribly loud and dirty park. People think it’s ok to blast music from their cars and leave trash everywhere. Save your 10$!!!!!  more »
  • Don’t support this park. They underpay their employees. I’ve worked at the pool the last three summers, this involves picking loads of trash that people leave behind, cleaning toilets and bathrooms...  more »
  • This state park has so many things to do. There is a huge and very well maintained pool, trails for running or biking, a boat launch and a pond. They don't allow outside food or drinks in the pool...  more »

  • FDR is a great place to visit. My family & i go there frequently every summer. The renovations over the years have made the park even more inviting. The pool is huge & fun & the kids park is great, we love it there. They have many activities, fun for all.
  • $10 to get in, but it’s a large, beautiful, well-kept park. I played Disc Golf here and the course is excellent, with good signage, good fairways, good baskets, and nice course design. In two hours, not even looking for wildlife, I saw an orb weaver spider, a hornet’s nest, a turkey vulture, and a beautiful hawk, among others. Nice place to walk around, but always be careful about ticks!
  • I Have come to this park many times and it is always very clean and very beautiful. The staff at this park also very diligent about keeping the place immaculate. The status also very friendly and very informative. I highly recommend coming to this park because there is plenty to do and plenty to see. Pets are welcomed but make sure they are on a leash
  • Very clean and spacious park. The pool facility designed for 3500 people with ticket booth ($3 for adults) and security checks had maybe 25 people there on a sunny August weekday. One star subtracted because it seems ridiculous to have double Olympic size pool where the only section open is 4-5 feet deep and no lap swimming lanes. Basically an enormous soaking bath.
  • This is my second visit to this park. There is a $10 entry fee (per party) but it's really worth it. Super clean, well taken care of. Some great lakes and views. Nice playgrounds. And a huge clean pool. A bit far from the Bronx but it's a great drive that's well worth it.
