  • This was part of my childhood in the 1960s when the building was a gas station and sold liquor, too...I recall the red dots marking it as an ABC package store. The new overpass destroyed the face of o...  more »
  • This was a fantastic stop on the way to Savannah from Charleston! Picturesque store, lots of cool things and super sweet staff. I might actually just go back there even though there's no other reason for me to make that drive again. We got a cherry bar, a pecan pie and strawberry cider. That pecan pie was so rich and the crust was impeccably flaky. The cherry bar was really sweet and natural tasting. A good real cherry taste. Not that fake cherry flavor that happens so often. The strawberry cider was like liquid jam! It's so good and I didn't even know I'd like something like that! The store is very authentic, warm and inviting with some cute kitchen utensils to buy and even some vintage decor. Very southern, very inviting, very worth a stop in.
  • This place is a really fun stop if you're driving through. Lots of great food stuff to grab and bring home. They do samples too. The ciders are pretty good. Jams, dips, pickled stuff, you know the drill. Great sauces and other condiments. They specialize in baked goods too. People are always friendly, and there's always a good crowd. Fun break on a long drive and almost always bring something home.
  • Lots of delicious foods and charming souvenirs. We ended up buying a box full of drinks, baked goods, grits, salad dressing... definitely worth a stop, whether you need a snack for now or a gift for later.
  • This is always a fantastic place to stop in for a quick snack and a drink from their cooler where they have iced tea, lemonade, ginger ale, Stewart's cream soda, water, etc. It's also a fantastic place for little gifts from the Lowcountry. You can stop a while and swing on the porch and admire the beautiful flowers and the palm trees and just make it's a relaxing stop during your drive.
  • This place has the classic General Store feel inside , and sells items you can't find in most other places. There are numerous flavors of cider, including Peach and blackberry. There are numerous jams, jellies ,benne wafers , and other Lowcountry favorites. If you are on the way to or from Charleston you really need to stop here. There is something for everyone.
