  • The 109 ft/32 m Upper Yellowstone Falls is best seen from the Brink of the Upper Falls Trail, which is 0.4 mi/0.6 km long. My husband and I did the short trail around noon on a Sunday in August, and i...  more »
  • Go to the upper falls look out point. You can climb the stairs down so far (though I'm not sure how far) This was nothing shy of amazing.  more »
  • Quite a long steep hike to get to the bottom of the brink if you're not physically active, you may want to pass, but if you're physically able to walk down the path it's definitely worth it. The magni...  more »

  • I love yellowstone national park, the best vacation of my whole life, I visited each place with a lot of emotion, I did not know that I could appear at every turn, God your wonders are beautiful, the magnificent ones, I could not contain the emotion when seeing liters and liters of pure, crystalline water falling hundreds of meters away, really impressive place
  • If only Yellowstone River waterfalls is your main point of interest, it's worth stop here and explorer. Otherwise, it's more rewarding to go directly to Artist Point or Grand View lookout points.
  • Great trip. Little scary on drive.
  • It is the smaller of two falls with 103 ft (33m) high. Lower is much more beautiful. If you have time worth to see.
  • Great place, about 10 minut walk but worth it.

Where to stay in Yellowstone National Park

As one of the U.S.'s most popular national parks, Yellowstone provides plenty of options for sleeping within its boundaries. Choose from lodges, inns, cabins, hotels, motels, and campgrounds throughout the park. Most of the structured accommodations lie in the park's most-visited areas, such as Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Falls, Old Faithful Geyser, and Yellowstone Lake. Staying on the northern side of the lake puts you right in the heart of the park, making it relatively convenient to visit other areas. Resorts, lodges, and guest ranches line the road just outside the park's east entrance, and a cluster of motels and hotels fills the town of West Yellowstone near the west entrance. You can also opt for lodges and inns to the north in Gardiner, Montana, or find nearly every type of accommodation to the south in Jackson, Wyoming. Staying outside the park is fine if you plan to drive through in a day and catch the highlights, but you'll want to spend at least one night inside the park if you plan to explore it more thoroughly.
