Morning Glory Pool is located approximately 1.5 miles from the Old Faithful Inn, at the end of a paved and boardwalked trail. It is an easy, enjoyable, and scenic walk to the pool that passes numerous...  more »

This was my favorite thermal feature in the entire park. While it's a lot smaller than Grand Prismatic Spring, that makes it easier to really grasp the whole thing. It's also a lot less crowded and a ...  more »

The morning glory pool is far away from the old faithful, but worth the way there - firstly, because you will find a lot of other "geysers" and "Places of interest", but also because this "pool" is a feast for the eyes with its blaze of colour. An absolute must if you drive in the direction of upper geyser basin

This is an amazing pool. We came 9 years ago and it had a lot more color in it than it did this time. The park sign said it lost some color due to people tossing trash and other items into it. It's still great to look at, but not as colorful as it once was. Some of the greens around the edge have turned to blues. Now it looks more like some of the other springs/pools.

This was one of my favorite spots in the geyser section. It is definitely worth walking out here to see.

The highlight along the trail of Hot Springs and Geysers. Do not miss out on it!

The most colourful and spellbounding place in geyser resort - worth to walk a little.

I love this part of the park. Lots of colorful geysers. Keep an eye out for Buffalo or bears.

Where to stay in Yellowstone National Park

As one of the U.S.'s most popular national parks, Yellowstone provides plenty of options for sleeping within its boundaries. Choose from lodges, inns, cabins, hotels, motels, and campgrounds throughout the park. Most of the structured accommodations lie in the park's most-visited areas, such as Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Falls, Old Faithful Geyser, and Yellowstone Lake. Staying on the northern side of the lake puts you right in the heart of the park, making it relatively convenient to visit other areas. Resorts, lodges, and guest ranches line the road just outside the park's east entrance, and a cluster of motels and hotels fills the town of West Yellowstone near the west entrance. You can also opt for lodges and inns to the north in Gardiner, Montana, or find nearly every type of accommodation to the south in Jackson, Wyoming. Staying outside the park is fine if you plan to drive through in a day and catch the highlights, but you'll want to spend at least one night inside the park if you plan to explore it more thoroughly.
