  • like all the other lakes/ponds of Yellowstone Park a must see, transparency is amazing, the crater seems bottomless, sights.

  • We left the snow coaches and walked in this amazing world! The steam filled white world was unbelievable! We watched one of the geysers erupt with buffalo not far away.  more »
  • Biscuit Basin was a stop on our snowmobile tour with Scenic Safaris. Nice boardwalk, cool thermal features but very slippery in winter. Wear boots with good grip.  more »

  • There is a trail off this basin called the Mystic Falls trail, which I recommend (west bug spray though!) For a great bird's eye view of geysers. This basin is not as crowded as others in the park.
  • This area has a very short boardwalk that takes you to a number of really beautiful thermal features, including the Sapphire Pool! Just make sure to get here early, as the parking lot fills up quickly!
  • Really amazing to go hiking to the mystic fall and the mountain top. You can accually go to the falls to touch the hot water meeting with the cold.
  • Parking is easier to find than near the grand prismatic springs. Short walk to see all the geysers and pools.
  • A great opportunity for photographs and the colors were amazing
