  • Well maintained trail with good mix of sun and shade, can range from 5 to 10 miles depending on which trails you connect together. Also has biking trail. Nice views near the top. Went in October so didn't see any wildflowers.
  • Diverse trail system makes for great mid/long hikes. Upper trails provide beautiful views toward Half Moon Bay with open vistas and tall grass; descending into the valleys is almost rainforest-like in places, including some fairly dark sections due to a thick canopy. Several nice sections of second growth redwoods. Some mountain bikes, but several trails too steep and loose to pedal. Several great trails that are foot path only.
  • I love hiking at Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve. The views of the ocean from the higher trails are spectacular. There are many redwoods along the creeks. There a lots of wildflowers in the spring. If you look hard enough, you should spot banana slugs and deer. You may also see salamanders and maybe even a California giant salamander!
  • This is the best hiking spot for my wife and I. If you are looking for a 8-10 miles hiking, this is the best choice, and you don't suffer strong sunshine when hiking. Some routes are for hikers only, some are for bikers and horses.
  • Great place to be! Lots of space to hike around. Lots of green really. Most importantly, lots of shade. Helps especially while hiking during the summer weather.
