  • I went in May to see what birds I could catch migrating through. I highly recommend this park for that activity. However, I noticed a well-manicured and ample picnic area, a playground, a few trails, ...  more »
  • Nice place to picnic, do some water sports. They have a playground for kids and a great visitors center. A trail to walk. Plenty of parking.  more »

  • Leesylvania is a beautiful Park, but we were not so happy with it today. When we got there traffic was backed up all the way to where you turn into the park. From that point to the shed where you pay Karma and it took a very long time to drive that little bit to get in. Leesylvania pay station near had one side open, and a cone at the other side. I asked them why they did not open one side for season pass holders only. There were two people in this Shack, and one was on the phone. The man said that they were trying to get something fixed. I would think, that they would call the park ranger or whoever the head Ranger is to take care of any problems. The other person should have gotten to work getting people in through that Park. They are very bad about running two sides and I do not see why they should be. There have also been many times where it's difficult to get the boat in because people pull out of the water and stop right away to get their boat ready to go home. Alternately, people pull up there to back their boat in, stop, and then get out of their car to get the boat ready to put in the water, holding everybody else in line up. I think Rangers need to be there to watch that people do what they're supposed to do.
  • Nice park with small beach. Good for picnic or day trip. A little crowded on summer or holiday weekends. Has several small trails and picnic areas. Visitor center is close by which is convenient.
  • It was a good place to go and catch some fish. There are some nice trails around a picnic area as well. The park staff are really nice. They were helpful in pointing out where things were and were we could go fishing since it was my first time there.
  • The calm waters and all the fishing you can do I highly recommend even though parking may be a bit pricy at the end of the day it's worth it
  • My friends told me about this park but I just got a chance to go last week and I loved it. Peaceful tranquil, lovely!
