Beautiful to see the natural formations in this hidden gem. When entering the small cove to dock it does smell like sulfur as my 4 year old brought to everyone attention, lol. Nice photo opportunities... read more »

I decided that I would drive to the address of 3951 River Rd, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965 because that is what was on file. I was greeted by a locked gate with some barbed wire on either side. I continue down the road just a little bit further and found a parking lot on the right side at 3975 River Road. I figured that for sure the trail would go through to what I wanted to say. I started down the trail on foot only to find a barricaded Trail and a sign that said entry is strictly forbidden. I was unable to locate Witches Gulch and am completely Unsure how anybody was able to leave any reviews on it?
It's only accessible by tourist boat now. If you walk past all the do not enter areas in the adjoining wildlife area you'll get a great view of the Wisconsin River.
This is an amazing place to visit, but as others have said access is restricted. One can neither access by land or water as the scenic portions lie on private property. Though I won't advocate it, if you are willing to ignore the "Private Dock" and "No Trespassing" signs, you can access Witches Gulch by boat early in the morning before the first scheduled tour boat arrives.
You can now only access it from the Upper Dells Boat Tour. The entrance from the road is locked and gated. It was $29 a person, and worth it.
My experience was amazing being my first time to the dells i would recomend first timers or anyone in general to go on a boat tour one of the most beautifulist sites ive ever seen wouldnt think your by civilization would come back again
