Wisconsin Deer Park, Wisconsin Dells
(4.4/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
For family fun, visit the animals at Wisconsin Deer Park. This petting zoo for wildlife is home to Virginia white tail deer, pigs, llamas, horses, goats, emus, lemurs, elk, and bison. The deer, ranging from young fawns to adult deer, run free but are tamed so you can pet them. Buy the specially made crackers on sale at the park to feed the animals (they can't eat human food) for the chance to see them up close. • The Wisconsin Deer Park is awesome. It allows you to connect with nature--these great animals--in a somewhat forestry setting. Since deer are normally skiddish, even if you have them in your back yard...  more »

  • One of my favorite things in the Dells. It's set up like a typical zoo/petting zoo with enclosures of other animals like pigs, goats, horses, llamas, ducks, turkeys, peacocks, emus and the bigger deer with antlers. The smaller deer roam freely along the paths and you just have to go through a gate and not let any out. The deer are HUNGRY and will beg for food and walk along with you. All were very sweet and we got some good pictures. You can buy feed when you get your tickets but we were also given extra feed from people leaving who hadn't finished theirs.
  • Great place for the kids. Went with a very large group of about 25 with half of that being young children. They all loved feeding the animals and walking around seeing their habitats. You will spend about 1-2 hours here so I feel it's a good bang for your buck. This is a wisconsin dells institution that I have been going to since I was a kid and now Ive been able to take my own child. I hope this place never changes. You
  • What a great idea! You really get to walk through the park with deer freely roaming. Yep, I actually got to hug a deer. How many can say they've done that!? There are also other pens with goats, pigs, horses, emus, bison, and similar animals but nothing at all exotic. It was a great time for the unique experience, but truly overpriced for the size of the place (could be walked through in under 15 minutes).
  • The deer were literally eating out of our hands! The varieties of deer were beautiful to see, and to have them surrounding us and traveling in herds was so exciting! What wonderful creatures and what an incredible experience for our whole family.
  • Was great the first time we went. Today, it was raining so we called to see if the deer were out and they said they were, that the rain didn't bother them. Then we got there, they said we could get a refund if there were no deer but they wouldn't check for us before. We paid, came in to no deer and left within 5 minutes and then asked for a refund. They said no refund, only rain check. They are liars and should have been honest. I feel like they stole my hard earned money for nothing. Terrible business.
