Wisconsin Deer Park, Wisconsin Dells

#1 of 6 in Parks in Wisconsin Dells
For family fun, visit the animals at Wisconsin Deer Park. This petting zoo for wildlife is home to Virginia white tail deer, pigs, llamas, horses, goats, emus, lemurs, elk, and bison. The deer, ranging from young fawns to adult deer, run free but are tamed so you can pet them. Buy the specially made crackers on sale at the park to feed the animals (they can't eat human food) for the chance to see them up close. This was an amazing experience. We loved it as much as our 7 and 3 year olds did. Admission was reasonable. It's a must while you're visiting Wisconsin Dells.  more »

Nice! Fun little thing to do with the kids. Weird for the deer to walk right on up to you but they look ok and healthy.  more »

Visited with my granddaughters ages 12 and 9. They love feeding the animals. This is a favorite for them. Price was reasonable too.  more »

The staff was super friendly, there was a great variety of animals, and the park surprisingly didn't smell too bad, unlike others I have gone to. I liked how the deer had the choice to walk to where the humans were or to stay in the "refugee" area where humans weren't allowed to enter. Though you still got to pet and feed the deer in a pretty spacious environment. The food seemed a little pricey for the portion offered, but it was definitely worth it. It seems like the deer enjoy the corn better than the small, brown, cylindrical food, and they never attack. Overall a fun, family friendly experience I would recommend to any Wisconsin tourist or local.

Love love love this place.... If you love animals you must go... Clean park, deer well cared for, roaming freely, very fun day. You can interact with the animals and get beautiful photos... Staff was bored teens, but still a great time

This is a fantastic place to take small children or anyone who loves animals. Yes, it's a bit expensive for a petting zoo. But, it is more than a petting zoo. The deer roam in the open. They come up to you skittish and friendly so long as you stay calm and quiet. Take you time. Enjoy yourself. And don't over buy the food. They weren't that hungry while we were there and you can buy more on the path.

Amazing experience. my 3 yo got to feed dozens of deer! They were so friendly and approachable. He sat down with a group and was fascinated to look at them so close. Very clean, shadey, easy to walk. Takes about 45 Min. Many different animals including goats, pigs, many species of birds, bison, And more. We'll be back!

Neat experience but it could be better. You get to feed different deer species and they walk right up. They also have a lot of native North American animals such as raccoons and rabbits. This place could be so much better. No signs telling about the animals, a huge missed opportunity for young nature enthusiasts wanting to learn more about what they are seeing. Another miss...Most of the deer have plenty of space but some of the more rare species are quite crowder, not enough habitat. Also, they have two sad lemurs in a crowded metal cage. These add nothing to the over all experience and are depressing. Why do Madagascar lemurs belong at a Wisconsin deer park? Several people around me commented on how out of place and sad they were. Without our these, I would have given 4.5 stars.
