Specialty Museum Museum
Get up close and personal with a Russian space station at Tommy Bartlett Exploratory and explore technology and science. More than 174 hands-on exhibits invite visitors to interact with space modules. The High Wire Skycycle attracts kids to a different kind of bike ride--one where they mount a bicycle balanced on a tightrope and ride across the sky. This and other exhibits add fun to physics, space exploration, and technology. Purchase tickets online to avoid crowds at the reception desk during the busy season. • I had so much fun here. Lots of science and physics exhibits which are all hands on. A rather impressive robot greeting as well. Fun for children but if you're not easily excited or love science you may be bored.
  • The whole family had plenty of fun and hopefully learned a few things. Good upkeep of most of the exhibits. Had to knock off one star for the van de graff generator not generating much charge, and the cycle and the gyro were not open (seasonal I guess).
  • Not sure about the live performances on the water but the exploratory was a blast from the past. Walking in felt like an 80's sci-fi throwback and the technology throughout is severely outdated. It's as is they're trying to preserve generations past's next gen tech. For the price of admission and the tourism they receive, you'd think they could invest in making the exploratory more modern and exciting.
  • Always a good tine for all ages. Our kids are 16-14-&7 they all enjoyed our time there
  • Fun interactive science exhibits. Good way to end your trip to the Dells. Easily an hours worth or more depending on your interaction level. Have only been there in the off season when it is not busy.
