Get up close and personal with a Russian space station at Tommy Bartlett Exploratory and explore technology and science. More than 174 hands-on exhibits invite visitors to interact with space modules. The High Wire Skycycle attracts kids to a different kind of bike ride--one where they mount a bicycle balanced on a tightrope and ride across the sky. This and other exhibits add fun to physics, space exploration, and technology. Purchase tickets online to avoid crowds at the reception desk during the busy season. • They had a good amount of parking for the location. The place itself was fun for kids and adults of all ages. They need more seating throughout for their older clients attending with their grandchildren so they can rest. (We found one bench inside the entire place and it was off where there wasn't anything fun for the kids to do). Be sure to bring some quarters and old pennies as they have two of the flattened penny machines - great for a flattened penny collection! Both are located near exit doors. We attended on a Wednesday in June is it wasn't totally packed but it was busy and easy to loose a member of your group so keep a sharp eye out. Be sure to purchase your tickets at the front ticket booth - we walked up to the front door expecting to get our ticket there and had to walk back to the booth. The lady at the booth printed us out the wrong tickets (it said Tommy Bartlett but there is more than one Tommy Bartlett thing to do at the Dells) and we had to wait another 15 minutes to get it fixed (already waited 15 minutes to get the first set of tickets printed).
  • Was fun and my 9yo had a blast. Was happy to see theyve added some new exhibits over the years, but some of the upkeep could be better considering the price
  • I had so much fun here. Lots of science and physics exhibits which are all hands on. A rather impressive robot greeting as well. Fun for children but if you're not easily excited or love science you may be bored.
  • The whole family had plenty of fun and hopefully learned a few things. Good upkeep of most of the exhibits. Had to knock off one star for the van de graff generator not generating much charge, and the cycle and the gyro were not open (seasonal I guess).
  • Not sure about the live performances on the water but the exploratory was a blast from the past. Walking in felt like an 80's sci-fi throwback and the technology throughout is severely outdated. It's as is they're trying to preserve generations past's next gen tech. For the price of admission and the tourism they receive, you'd think they could invest in making the exploratory more modern and exciting.
