  • I have been to this park twice, The first time the camp host was very nice and showed a willingness to make sure you had a great stay. The second visit, the camp host was so horrible it resulted in constant arguments and us being asked to leave because one of the kids who was about 9 years old walked past their RV to get to the cabin right next to it. This resulted in the group of us no longer renting out the 3 cabins and 3 campsites that we normally took up for a week every summer.
  • This park is close to Winthrop. There are two campgrounds we camped in the older west campground which was previously privately owned. Full service campsites were back to back and close together. We frequently had children walking through our site. No privacy. There was a camp host but rarely saw park staff. Nice trail from campground to adjoining public land with lots of birds to see. Some nice-looking grass land trails available. Grassy beach with a little bit of sand and several picnic tables. Lots of ducks. Small boat launch with life jackets available to borrow. Sites along lake had no services and limited space for RV’s/vehicles. Drove to Wintrop found RV parking and walked back to see historic district. Worth the walk even on a warm day.
  • Been camping here with our three children every July since 2009. Warm lake water, not bad fishing for the kids (under 16 in Washington state does not require a fishing license regardless of residency). Lots of other stuff to do in and around the area too, like float down the river in a tube which is quite a popular pastime with the locals as well.
  • A gem in state of Washington. Camp sites, both powered and non-powered on the shore of a tranquil lake. Good guest amenities. Hint: The higher priced camp sites are usually quieter. Enjoyed waking up to the sound good mooing cross the lake. Lots of other wildlife. A must stay experience.
  • Good for kids and adults. Has multiple showers and bathrooms. Has trails and is bike friendly. Pet friendly. Has very good staff to make sure rules and regulations are adhered to. Would give 5 stars if there had been a little more options for swimmers.
