Kraft Azalea Gardens, Winter Park

Categories: Gardens, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 65+ reviews on the web
Cobblestone paths, manicured hedges, and cypress canopies define Kraft Azalea Gardens. This public park spans 4 hectares (11 acres) and is bordered by a lake on its north and west sides. The lake features a small dock for fishing, and the park offers benches for picnicking. Trails here lead visitors through 2 hectares (5 acres) of a section covered by landscaped gardens. The park is also home to a picturesque monument--a greek exedra--a semicircle of white colonnades. The park's romantic appeal and peaceful atmosphere make it a popular spot for wedding and engagement pictures. • Perfect option to exit the run of Disney parks. The site is very well taken care of, next to a huge Lake and surrounded by mansions. The silence and tranquillity dominate the place. Wonderful landscapes and contact with nature. Several squirrels and birds walk quietly. Perfect stop beautiful photos.

  • A hidden treasure of Winter Park. Kraft Azalea Garden is a serene park overlooking Lake Maitland and gorgeous mansions. A wonderful place to dream about the possibilities. I'm very thankful it was protected for all to appreciate.
  • This is one of my favorite parks to drop in on while out and about. They recently did a major clean up which include tree trimming, new crushed shells for the path and a fountain in the small pond. Be sure to wave at the people on the Winter Park Boat Tour.
  • The location here, although often very busy with activity, makes for a beautiful backdrop to images we have captured in the past. Engagement sessions, family photos, prom and homecoming, all enjoy spectacular filtered daylight as well as wonderful sunsets to the west. Winter light is exceedingly blue and more spectacular, so take advantage of cooler temperatures and the season.
  • I took my girlfriend here for a date and it was absolutely perfect! Beautiful park and loved the serenity. Would absolutely recommend going here!
  • Great place for a quiet walk. Never crowded, has some fresh air from the lake.
