The Society is located in the former National Guard Armory building (1915) with the modern Laird Norton Addition. Designed by Joan Soranno of HGA, the addition and the armory are now known as the Winona County History Center. It offers 3 floors of exhibits, the Museum Shop, an extensive research library and archive, rental spaces and much more.
The Society owns two other museums in Winona County, The Bunnell House in Homer and The Rural Heritage Museum in Saint Charles.

Surprisingly top-notch history center here. From the reuse of the armory building to the wide array of artifacts and exhibitions, this center has a bit of everything.
The finest local history museum that I have ever visited. Superior.
