  • The campground was nothing great, especially for a tent camper. Had to listen to RV generators all night  more »
  • Many day trips for hiking and until recently many family trips to the pool. One of the finest State Parks I've visited.  more »
  • Really enjoy the wildlife and course. The staff is friendly and the course is well maintained. Snacks beverages and even a cold brew. About 10 miles or less from Jack Daniels.  more »

  • Beautiful state park. Campground is really nice, lots of spaces, reasonable prices. Very kid friendly.
  • My family came here to stay in one of the cabins for a weekend. The cabin itself could use some work. It's nice to disconnect from the world for a little while, but if you're going to broadcast a WiFi network, make sure it's reliable first. There wasn't much hot water to speak of -- enough for one good shower or a few military-style rinses. The mattresses were a little firm for my taste -- to each his own, I suppose. The appliances seemed a little old -- the dishwasher was tiny and the stovetop range had coil-eyes instead of a flat-glasstop. There were quite a few insects to kill and the one of the closets was too filthy to even mess with. We managed to find some entertainment on Saturday night. Some local bluegrass musicians come together for a haphazard concert of sorts. Overall, it was a great experience. The trail was beautiful, the water was gorgeous. The lake shoreline was a little low, but not very crowded; the deer were hard-to-find but nice to see when we could catch sight of them. I do want to come back, and hopefully the accommodations will have been upgraded by then.
  • Has a long paved trail great for W/C. Friendly staff. Great camping sites.
  • Another wonderful place to visit is Tennessee if you are looking for some outdoor fun. I love coming up here to walk, hike, and run the trail around the park. Great access to the water at the boat docks and the park staff are very informative and helpful.
  • Great spot. Friendly campers. Bathhouse at the RV campsites could do with a renovation. Cabins are amazing with a great lake view. Perfect for getting off the grid.
