  • We have visited the Red River Gorge for several years but only strayed from the Natural Bridge State Park a few times. Last week we did much more exploring and loved the hike to Double Arch. You'll be...  more »
  • I would rate this as an easy to moderate hike. If you want an easy 2-3 mile hike, go out to the arch and back. Make sure to go all the way to the arch and not stop when you first see it from across th...  more »
  • So pretty and worth the visit. Hundreds of trails to choose from and I highly think one should try the zip line as well.  more »

  • Red River Gorge is beautiful. It's a must-see if you're in Kentucky and you love the outdoors. The river carves out a stunning landscape, complete with lush forest and eye-catching rock formations. The trails are well-maintained, and you shouldn't have any trouble finding the trailheads.
  • A wonderful place for hikers, climbers, or nature lovers of every skill level...BUT, not all of the trails are clearly marked and easy to follow. Research the area you will be visiting, have and know how to use a compass and maps. Most of the trails are well worn, but folks haven't followed the "Leave No Trace" principles...meaning there are tons of well worn paths everywhere. I highly recommend a multi-day visit to the gorge!
  • Highly recommended. Don't have something to do. Head out to this place. Warmer the better.
  • Wonderful experience! Make sure you research the trails you would like to visit! Some trails are clearly marked while others are not.
  • So many places to hike and a great time with family and friends. Highly recommend.
