  • Pick your own, or buy pre-bagged apples. Also available, local fruits and veggies, jams, bakes goods, and usually plenty of sunshine and fun. This is a pretty slick business operation.  more »

  • Large assortment of fresh orchard fruits. Great place to bring the kids for all the playground equipment. Entertainment on select weekends with refreshments for sale. Apple Cider Donuts are to die for. The owner John Marker & his wife are very Gracious and run a GREAT business.
  • Fabulous orchards! Great place to take the children, they have plenty of activities for them all them time. They make the best pies in the Winchester area, and their fruit and vegetables are amazing.
  • A thriving pick your own apple business. Buy a bag and get a map of the orchard: Stayman trees here, Gala trees way over there, etc. Employees are a little chilly, treat you like the tourist you are. Very few of the products they sell are made there, so in that way it’s like all the other “farm markets” in the area. (Farm markets are different from “farmer’s markets” where strict rules restrict products from far away). What distinguishes Marker-Miller is their playground overlooking a lovely little valley and distant mountains. But most charming, albeit savvy, are the apple trees near the playground. They are trimmed short so that children can pick their own apples. In all fairness, the constant din of children yelling and shrieking and their parents’ requests to use the store bathroom when the Don’s Jons are out by the jungle gym may be the reasons the employees are a little distant.
  • We had a great time taking our 2 year old daughter to pick Honey Crisp apples. Located outside of Winchester in a beautiful country setting, the prices were reasonable for apples and the store offered a lot to see and purchase. They have a great playground that my daughter really enjoyed. Lots of of picture opportunities! A really nice day that won't break the bank as there was no cover charge other than the apples we picked. (You pick a size of a bag that you want to fill and pay for that).
  • Good experience! You purchase a small, medium, or large bag as you enter then fill at your leisure. The apples tasted great and looked healthy. Live music and food trucks were available. Lines were too long so I suggest bringing your own lunch and grabbing a picnic table to save time.
