  • My wife and I visited the park in June. We went right after a large rainstorm so the park was nearly empty. There was almost no traffic on any of the roads and we didn't bump into anyone on the trails...  more »
  • I try to hike here once a year. I usually plan two backpacking trips a year for the last 8 years and this place is my number one! Lots to see and do if you enjoy the outdoors! Back Country camping at ...  more »
  • Just got back from a day trip to Red River Gorge and loved it as always. Unfortunately, no time for camping this trip but the 1 hr 45 min drive is worth it just to hit some trails and take in some vie...  more »

  • This is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever had the chance to visit. I'm usually terrified of heights but I took the sky lift up to the bridge and the view was breathtaking! We stayed at the campground, it was right on a creek and it was so nice. The hiking trials are really fun. Miguel's pizza was delicious!
  • Excellent park for more advanced hiking. If you're only going to go for a day, be sure to preselect which trails you want to take because it's simply that massive. Be sure to bring a map with you as well as plenty of water and food as these trails are much longer and rougher than those at Natural Bridge. You are also less likely to run into people on the majority of the trails as it is less touristy than Natural Bridge. Depending on which trails you take you will have amazing views of the surrounding area. Though if you're not one for hiking, the gorge has a scenic drive that'll take you through the entire park--which is a must see during autumn.
  • Red River Gorge is a beautiful place for a weekend getaway or just to hike for the day! When you visit make sure to visit Miguel's pizza, delicious!
  • Really close to a variety of midwestern cities and offers a variety of hiking, camping, and climbing. Honestly it's one of my favorite parks to visit in the Midwest second to the Smokies.
  • Red River Gorge is beautiful. It's a must-see if you're in Kentucky and you love the outdoors. The river carves out a stunning landscape, complete with lush forest and eye-catching rock formations. The trails are well-maintained, and you shouldn't have any trouble finding the trailheads.
