  • I've been going to blue hole since the 70s when it was dirt parking and a swimming spot. I was concerned when it was turned into a park but it is so much better this way. There is a large lawn to put ...  read more »
  • Spend the day hanging out with a WHOLE LOT of other people while imagining what it would be like to be a kid again with no cares. Just playing in the creek, laying in the sun, without a care in the wo...  read more »
  • The swimming was closed but we didn't come for that, we just wanted to check out and take our dogs for a walk which they are not allowed in the area at blue hole only the trails. It's a great park!
  • Awesome place. Really love that they limit the amount of people that can in the area at one time so visitors aren't packed in like sardines. Place is a wonderful medium between enjoying nature...but not TOO much nature (they have nice bathrooms, ladders up from the water, etc.)
  • This place is amazing either you're into some simple water activities or you just want to sunbath and chill. Remember to show up before 9 am to make the line if you want to get in with the the first group at 10 am when they open.
  • Beautiful, majestic, inspiring are all words that begin to describe the heart of this deep green-on-the-creek place. Rope swings still rule after generations of children have happily sailed into the cool (chilly), clear, refreshing water. Once you hop out of the creek at Blue Hole, there are miles of walking/biking trails to enjoy. Don't forget the sunscreen!
  • Used to be the best spot in the hill country. Now a typical tourist trap. Be ready to wait and be treated like a nuisance. I went from being a donor, to a season pass holder, to a person who is no longer interested in going someplace to sit around and be treated like crap. Too bad this place is employed by asses. Would be great otherwise. Wish this piece of nature still belonged to the people. Now it is a money machine.
  • Really liked this place to take the family and enjoyed the clean water and facilities. I very much enjoyed that the number of people let in is controlled making it very comfortable to be in for an extended period of time. I would definitely recommend to get there early and to have supplies for comfort such as shade or seating area. Tables and seats are limited but the water is definitely worth it. There are no frills or pits near the water and there is only one grill near the main entrance. Some downsides but the overall experience is well worth it and planning can make it great.
