  • I am a frequent visitor at this zoo, so I can personally attest to the condition and care of the animals. The main point of my review is to clarify some misperceptions I have read on some reviews. Eac...  read more »
  • The place is not very powerful in structure but has a wide variety of animals, bears, tigeres, Lions, monkeys, turtles, birds, goats, ostrich and many more. A good time to give animals to eat and have a good time.

  • I have been to a lot of zoos up and down the coast and their are a lot of very poor zoos in Florida but this one is very nice and you can tell the folks that own it care about animals I know this for ...  read more »
  • Overall kinda sad. Not very appealing from the road. The facility could use some upgrades and general care. The animals look content for the circumstances. They cages cheaply made and under cared for. They did have some cool animals though. I've never seen a bear up close.
  • I'm not an activist againt zoos. I LOVE the NC Zoo amongst others. This zoo is the worst of the worst. The monkeys have no water and are barely hanging on. The Lions and Tigers are in cages the size of my bathroom. The giraffes small exhibit had no shade whatsoever and it was leaning against a wall just waiting to die. The bear is enclosed in a very small cage as well with poop everywhere. I hopped a fence to notify the workers at the maintenance shed and found three disgusting creatures resembling men sleeping in an air-conditioned room while the animals were panting from the heat and lack of water/shade. Do not support this place, do not give them your money, DO pray for these animals!
  • This zoo is great. We thought it was going to be small from the looks of the outside.. but, it is nice and big! It was very clean and it was easy to push our stroller. It was perfect for our kids ages 1-6. They loved the fact that they could feed the animals. It was easy for them to see the animals and feed them. You can tell that the owners def care for these animals. I would def recommend this zoo to anyone. It was fairly cheap to for our family of 6. I will def go back to this zoo. Good job to the owners!!
  • My children have a great time each and every time they go to this zoo!!! The property is clean, well maintained and easy to maneuver. It is just the right size for small children to walk and explore, while having easy access to viewing the broad variety of animals! This is a unique, positive experience. It is obvious that the Tregembo family cares for their animals and their property! Children ages 2yrs - 8yrs will LOVE IT. As a side note, we have visited the National Zoo , in Washington, D.C. For obvious spacial constraints due to urban density, many of the enclosures at that zoo are no bigger than those at this one. I can only hope they are loved as much. ~ A. • In 1998, PETA named this roadside zoo (then known as the Tote Em In Zoo) as one of the worst in the country. Other than the name, not much has changed. Visitors have documented horrible living conditions for animals—including algae-filled water receptacles and tiny, filthy cages—and even the bodies of dead and decaying animals on the property.
