  • The Baha'i was absolutely breathtaking. The intricate carvings on the outside and the high ceilings inside took my breath away. I loved the message that the people who worship here spread and I was wa...  more »

  • Absolute place of peace. Regardless of what you believe you can find comfort and acceptance here. I come here often to escape the noise and aggression of the city. The serene gardens and the beauty of this building have a recharging quality that help me feel whole and and at peace. Easily accessible by public transportation. Plenty of free parking. They do not allow picnicking on their grounds but you can find several nearby parks that do.
  • Beautiful, quiet, and serene. Good for reflection and meditation. Beautiful architecture and the grounds outside are also lovely. I went in November but I would love to see it in summer too. A must-see for anyone who wants a change of scenery when visiting Chicago.
  • This place is so beautiful and peaceful! The architecture of the temple is stunning inside and out. The grounds always have beautiful, seasonal plants and flowers. In the warmer seasons they have pristine fountains. The staff is all very friendly and welcoming. It's a perfect place for a moment of peaceful reflection or even a photo-op.
  • i was told that this might not be a great sight to see on my "first visit" to Chicago. i have to disagree with that as it is beautiful here and the pictures online don't do it justice, i highly suggest that if you have about 2/3 hours free you jump on the subway and make your way up north. you will not regret it.
  • Great experience. People there are incredibly welcoming and informative. Had 2 or 3 very good conversations with some of the Bahaians (apologies if I'm misusing that) and was impressed with their openess about their faith as well as their curiosity in me as a person. Tremendous people. Beautiful temple, unique to Chicago area. Really is something to see.
