  • bad thing is as far from my country and that is not to be on hand when you visit USA. It is so peaceful, so pleasant in October, which does not cause back to the hotel. It was a wonderful break, busy life. Goodbye and thank you

  • My daughter had her wedding reception at the Freight Shed in Yorktown. It was beautiful with the tall ship on the York River! The landscaping was gorgeous all around. It is such a well-kept area with ...  more »
  • Fell in love with this area. Just gorgeous. I could spend each and every day there. Scenery is stunning and a dip in the river is a must.  more »

  • $4 entrance fee. Very scenic and nice. Would recommend going when they first open or on weekdays because a bunch of people with kids come after 10-11. We enjoyed hiking and will definitely come back to kayak. I took this scenic pic for y'all but this lady kept getting in my way.
  • We come here regularly to hike and enjoy the outdoors but this May (2017) we held our wedding ceremony here. It was perfect and simplistic. We didn't want our wedding at any of the facilities so we only had to pay a permit fee to hold our ceremony on site. The staff was extremely easy to work with to get this permit completed. We showed up the day of our wedding and held it down by the labyrinth maze and the site was beautiful. Perfect combination of woodsy with a water view of the pond.
  • I've been going here for years with my boys. Always have a great time. Kayak rentals aren't to bad, and the beach's they have are pretty cool.
  • Beautiful, lots to do. $4 to park. Additional for activities. Hike for free. 1 fossil per hiker
  • $6 for park entry. Once you've paid the entry fee, it allows you to fish off the pier with no license required. They also have a boat launch.

Where to stay in Williamsburg

Williamsburg offers lodgings for every taste, including four-star resorts, quaint inns, and budget-friendly hotels. Accommodations in the city's historical district provide easy access to all of the area's major attractions, but they also charge much higher prices than equally comfortable guesthouses in some of the outlying neighborhoods. For a genuine Virginian experience, consider pitching a tent or renting a cottage in one of the area's popular campgrounds, which offer shuttle services to the city's major attractions and provide free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and fenced-in areas for pets.
