Where to stay in Williamsburg

Williamsburg offers lodgings for every taste, including four-star resorts, quaint inns, and budget-friendly hotels. Accommodations in the city's historical district provide easy access to all of the area's major attractions, but they also charge much higher prices than equally comfortable guesthouses in some of the outlying neighborhoods. For a genuine Virginian experience, consider pitching a tent or renting a cottage in one of the area's popular campgrounds, which offer shuttle services to the city's major attractions and provide free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and fenced-in areas for pets.

  • We had a group playing here on a Sunday afternoon. A few members of the group are members of Williamsburg National. We had been told the previous year, before the change in ownership that the course w...  more »
  • The new ownership is doing lots of maintenance and is bringing this golf club back to great shape. Yorktown greens, fairways and tees are in good shape and getting better every time I play. The Grill ...  more »

  • Great place to eat and hang out. Awesome drink prices and good food. Great atmosphere too. Also good for golf and hitting the range.
  • I played the Yorktown course at Williamsburg national on Wednesday the 10th of May 2017, and I was plesently surprised by the condition improvements, friendly and helpful staff, and expectations this new management company has provided. I heard it was under a new management and had to see for myself. I played it a year ago and to see it now would surprise you. Fantastic job to the people that took this on!!!! You won't be disappointed I promise you that. Looking forward to play the Jamestown course!!!
  • Layout is very nice not crowded but challenging. Greens were not awesome but getting better. Played quickly and staff were great.
  • My nephew and i played the Yorktown on Sunday July 9, 17. Super impressed with the shape of the golf course. Since the 4th, I've played Brickshire, Viniterra, Williamsburg National, Royal New Kent, and Kingsmill's River course. On a scale of $160 at Kingsmill to $45 at Williamsburg National, I am confident recommdending the Yorktown to golfers of all skill levels. From weekend hacks that should sell their clubs and give up the game, to us that feel like we have a lucrative future in the greatest game every created, give the Yorktown a try. You won't be disappointed 😉
  • Yorktown Course - The fairways are good, though there are a lot of fairway bunkers. The greens have improved some from October/November, but are bumpy with bad patches in many places. The course is generally good to play, especially at the reduced prices. Just take a maximum of two putts on each green and play on. The course is under new management and they seem focused on making improvements. Understand that greens can't be renovated in a short time, especially during winter months. This review is based on playing three rounds on the Yorktown Course in the past three months.
