Water Country USA, Williamsburg

(4.3/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web)
At Water Country USA, the Mid-Atlantic's largest water park, hit the adrenaline inducing slides, lose control in dark water tunnels, and then take a break at one out of many pool lounges. While you're trying out water rides, the surroundings will be transporting you to the 1950s and 1960s surfers' world. You can try out strength and balance challenges, visit shops and restaurants, and watch live entertainment. Children can play interactive pool games. Not to be missed is the Colossal Curl--the only ride of its kind in North America--nearly as long as two football fields, featuring a funnel, waves and an experience of weightlessness. Lockers and food are available at the site. Use our Williamsburg trip itinerary builder to add Water Country USA and other attractions to your Williamsburg vacation plans.

  • Our daughter loved Watercountry USA, so did we. We got a great price on the duel park pass with Busch Gardens. We spent most the time in kiddy pools but that was fine because our daughter had so much ...  more »
  • My family always enjoys going to Water Country. They have plenty of rides and a good amount of areas to relax. I like that they have lockers to store your items.  more »
  • They serve really good popcorn here, to start! It is also full of fun rides and a lot of kiddie rides for the little ones. My favorite part of the whole trip was swimming in the wave pool! Go see for ...  more »

  • We had a blast here. Most of the rides are kids friendly. For lunch, head to Launch Pad Pub and Subs. You can order customized salads and hot subs/sandwiches here and they are really good. Their pizza is very good too.
  • So many rides and places to stay cool. Excellent for kids. Need season pass and refillable cups. Kids had their own life jackets which helped. For everyone else know your color of life jacket. It tells your size.
  • This place is awesome! The rides are fun and the staff is great! If your child/children want to learn how to swim, do swim lessons. Cons: The food isn't the best and the lines can be 45 minutes or longer!
  • Water parks are always fun and the issue is value for cost. All of the rides at this park can be visited in half a day as lines during the day are short. Finding chairs for a "base camp" is difficult however as the ratio of visitors to rest areas is small. Prices for food and sundries is typically high. Cost of tickets at standard price is not worth the value received - go to Great Wolf instead where the operating hours are longer and you get the benefits of the hotel. Visit Water Country if you are able to score tickets at a substantial discount.
  • We absolutely love Water Country USA. We've been Platinum Pass members for the last 5 years and this is one of our go to spots. With numerous slides and pool locations, there is something for everyone, from Toddler to Adult. As the day progresses the park does get much more crowded, especially when the sun is out. Lines can get an hour long on some of the slides which can be disappointing, but most queues have some shade to help out. When it gets hot, the lazy river, hubba bubba highway and toddler pools are great places to stay wet and in the water if not the Wave Pool itself. Standard amusement park fare and prices, but always a good time.
