  • Very nice park. Can't go wrong with it. Really relaxing hiking trails where you can bike as well. Awesome place to walk your dog around the lake. Kayaks for rent at reasonable prices. There is a $2 cover for parking and for launching your own kayak. Still very affordable. 4 shelters for private parties. Recommended
  • Adorable local park with 5 miles of trail runs, fishing, kayaking, grilling next to the water, plus a playground for kids and a dog park for fur babies 😀 Truly beautiful location right off the park - plus a concession store, bathrooms, and friendly staff able to help. We love it here!
  • Very nice park with lots to do- kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats, fishing, hiking, disc golf, dog park. The grounds are well kempt and the staff are helpful. Entry is $2/car or free with annual pass
  • I spend time in these parks working so I never get o enjoy them. There's plenty of trees fresh air and little woodland creatures. Last time I was here I saw a chipmunk that had a staring problem. Nosey little thing kept staring at my pistachios
  • Lots to do here. Walking Tails, Bike Trails, Kayaks and Canoes for Rent, BBQ Areas. Its great for families and groups that just want to enjoy the great outdoors. It is starting to get a little cool though.

Where to stay in Williamsburg

Williamsburg offers lodgings for every taste, including four-star resorts, quaint inns, and budget-friendly hotels. Accommodations in the city's historical district provide easy access to all of the area's major attractions, but they also charge much higher prices than equally comfortable guesthouses in some of the outlying neighborhoods. For a genuine Virginian experience, consider pitching a tent or renting a cottage in one of the area's popular campgrounds, which offer shuttle services to the city's major attractions and provide free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and fenced-in areas for pets.
