Mohegan Sun Pocono Reviews
Stayed at a nice hotel close by since the Casino was $400 + every Saturday night.$7 uber and we were there. Very busy so getting free drinks is close to impossible. We would just buy them at the bar i... more »
This hotel is an over priced joke. The staff is SO rude from the front desk people to the gross buffet staff. The buffet was so gross, food was so old and cold. The room was ok but not worth the price... more »
The place is ok, nothing great. We had dinner and watched the horse races from the restaurant. Not impressed with the casino at all and the parking lot is a joke. So crowded that people we parking in ... more »
Always love visiting this casino and hotel. Everyone is incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly! The accommodations are comfortable, well maintained, and we'll worth the cost. We get free rooms at least a couple times a year which is always nice, and is more than other casinos will give you. Highly recommend this location for anyone wanting to visit a casino but also wanting a nice and enjoyable environment!
Pretty good casino. Crowd was lively on a Saturday afternoon. I only played blackjack for a couple of hours on a 5 dollar table with a continuous shuffer. The dealers were fun and friendly the pace of play was good. It did not feel rushed. I ate at the buffet. It was nearly empty at 8:15 pm. The food was not bad but the selection was pretty small.
My fiance lost over a grand and they would not comp him. The staff told him they do not comp anyone any food, a room or anything. So why would anyone want to gamble here if you are not going to made to feel your patronage is appreciated. Also when he corrected the cashier at the cash window for his correct change they gave him an attitude and practically threw it at him. What's sad is the service at Long John silver's down the road was a million times better than this casino lmao. So yeah this casino is a poor excuse. You'll get better service at an A.C casino or even in Philly.
The smoking in the casino is out of hand. They say it's 50/50 but people walk through the no smoking section smoking. No one says anything to them. It is really 70/30 smoking to no smoking section. I told a worker about someone smoking, they walked the other way and did not say anything to them. All the good machines are in the smoking section. The last two times I was there, there was 1 row not even working. The smoking section should be only in the penny room, so everybody could enjoy the large part of the casino. Because of all the smoke they leave it so cold that you have to wear a winter coat. If the smoke and cold don't bother you never having a chance to win playing the machines. I play machines all over the casino, all I do is spend my time trying to win back the money I spend. If I was you I would find some place that cares about there customers. I will not return, I gave them enough of my time and money. I hope you make a better choice then I did. If this helped you please like it to show the casino they lost your business to. Thank you.
Mohegan Sun is a great casino. Apart from having multiple areas for slots and table games on the casino floor, they also have gift shops, a house racing track, and multiple restaurants ranging from casual to formal, all of which provide great service. The casino hotel is conveniently accessible from the casino level and the rooms are quite nice and affordable. The casino hosts multiple social events open to the public, and ballrooms can be rented for a night to host a formal social function (wedding, prom, etc).
