  • Wonderful facility. Really well maintained and constantly upgrading exhibits. Very impressed with the completed elephant habitat.
  • One of the best zoo's I have been to. Wichita should be proud. Really cool paintings by Elephants for purchase as well.
  • My wife and I like to check zoos out when there is one we are staying close to. This zoo surprised me. It was bigger and had more animals than I believed it would have. The place was clean. The employ...  read more »
  • Sedgwick Country Zoo has a diverse selection of animals from the flamingos and penguins to gorillas and lions. In the summer, they have Sno-Cone machines at various locations in the Zoo. As a visitor, it's easy to see the whole zoo in 2-3 hours. There's a giraffe feeding booth that's fun for all ages, a boat ride area to see monkeys on an island, and key cards for young children to learn more about the animals in the zoo. The main attraction at the zoo I believe is the Jungle exhibit. Birds and bats fly above you and eat fruit in the canopy and there is a fish tunnel with huge fish. This zoo has something for everyone to enjoy.
  • Our family lives this zoo! It's so big you can spend hours there and not see everything! Our kids love the penguins, gorilla, and the new elephant exhibit. This zoo is a great source of pride for the city of Wichita and for Sedgwick County. If you live in town, a membership is a must and truly a bargain! We got the single plus (one named adult plus one additional adult) until our daughter turned three (children two and under are free) then we stepped up to the family plus (two named adults and all kids and grandkids under 18 plus one additional adult). The 'Beastro' is a great place to eat lunch, but there are also concession stands scattered throughout the zoo. Plus, it's got more Pokestops that you'll know what to do with! Take a trip out there, it's well worth it!
  • A very good zoo, especially in Kansas, but it can get a bit expensive and it is hard to see everything. They have some nice exhibits. I would have liked more replies. The petting zoo is a nice addition for kids.
  • Great Zoo with fun for everybody! Petting Zoo, playground, and a HUGE variety of animals. So much money is put into this zoo every few years on new exhibits. I just got to help as a contractor to complete the newest Elephants of the Zambezi River Valley exhibit. It allows you an amazing look at the elephants with a staggeringly large home for all the new elephants recently brought over.
  • Beautiful park with continent themed areas. Very clean and open. Animals seem well cared for. Several air-conditioned buildings as well as outdoor exhibits for summer visits. Handicap accessable. Was a very enjoyable and memorable experience!
