  • Just a quick shout out, to the staff and restaurant at White Pass Skit Lodge. During the emergency their staff went above and beyond to feed a ton of people with great food, on short notice. Each meal...  more »
  • White Pass is a small resort but has some great runs for all levels of skier. Also, a good place to learn to ski with a great nursery slope and dedicated lift. Other than the lodge, with it’s cafe, sk...  more »
  • Our family doesn’t make it to the mountains much during winter so we are unfamiliar with where things are located. When we arrived it wasn’t clear where the sledding area was but it was easy enough to...  more »

  • white pass....i only ever drive through it to get to the small town Packwood just below the resort. during ski season it can be popping, but in comparison to other places I've been, with the 12 hywy passing directly through, as they get busier in the coming years, I wonder if it will change in terms of parking safety. they have a cell tower up top which is really appreciated to drive through in case you have an emergency and it is summer and the place is essentially empty by comparison. From the looks to me, it is gorgeous and it brings in a lot of people. can't say much about prices and slopes, but I've napped in their parking lot in spring and they didn't bother me. the views in that area are great also
  • Not a resort, definitely a lodge. No food source except a gas station. Could be sooooo much more....
  • It was probably the most beautiful day ever. Absolutely clear blue skies. Mount Rainier filling the sky line to the North. The snow was perfect. The hill maintenance was beyond reproach. It was all in all one of the best ski days ever. I am nearing 70 and probably take things at a slightly slower pace than I did in my younger years. There were hills and runs for all levels and all interests.
  • White Pass is a good place to ski, but an excellent place to learn to ski. The regulars are mostly from the surrounding towns and cities, which makes it a mostly local place and more family friendly than many other ski resorts in Washington. Also, their learn to ski packages are the best in the area, including the lessons. As for the snow, it is far more and better than Snoqualmie Pass, and has 1500 vertical drop. Quite a decent range, but mostly blues, some of the easy while others tough. The back side which opened in 2011 is a great addition, and very fun and I prefer it to the original mountain, but it is on the easier side. I would recommend White Pass, especially if the weather is good, as it usually has good snow and isn't crowded.
  • If you have a mixed bag of skiers, this place has you covered. Affordable family atmosphere on one side of the mountain for beginners, black diamonds and a separate lodge up top for advanced. No fast daredevils to run into your kids, and SUPER FRIENDLY AWESOME staff. Lessons, packages, food all super reasonably priced (by comparison to Mt Hood). 3 day rental with lessons and lift tickets around $130 for kids. Really, can’t beat it. No lines either. 2 1/2 from Portland. Best kept secret.
