  • Love this hidden gem for trail running. Great wilderness scenes and animals. Fun trails and very close to the city Worth the trip
  • This is a worthwhile destination; while the indoor area is interesting, with displays and some live animals, the outdoor play area is the favorite of my children: realistic block walls for kids to scr...  read more »

  • Definitely a place to bring kids. Toddler age is appropriate. Nice gardens and fenced off areas for easy adult supervision of the kids. Natural play areas for climbing and jumping. It helps to have a hat because there are not a lot of shade areas.
  • This is one place my children can literally spend an entire day without getting bored. Just last week my two girls (6 and 3) were playing with their friends, and my six year old ran up to me and said, "This is the best day ever!" Made my heart happy! I love that there are rocks to climb, sticks to build and play with, and water to splash in. The water is my favorite part because it's just a stream but it opens the doors to a child's imagination (creating dams, seeing what can float down the stream and what can't, etc), and the cool water is such sweet relief on hot summer days. So be sure to bring swimsuits or an extra outfit and towels! And lots of snacks because you just might surprise yourself with how long you'll stay there!
  • Awesome outdoor play area for kids! There's sand and water, fake cliffs to climb, log and stick construction area as well as a great sledding hill for little kids in the winter. They also have a nice nature center with fun and informative drop in times to see some of their resident animals. The only thing I was not impressed with was their preschool. I went for a tour during a class and the naturalist seemed completely unfriendly, a hungry child who wanted another snack was told no somewhat strictly and there seemed to be a lot of pressure put on kids to do the optional activity (cleaning and dyeing wool) and get correct answers when learning letters.
  • Tamarack Nature Center is a beautiful place in the North Metro - an opportunity to hike or ski and commune with the woods and birds. A place for quiet reflection. Many miles of trails. Families with young children will enjoy the wonderful nature play area near the entrance, as well as the programs in the nature center. Important to note that pets are not allowed. The far reaches of the trails border upon I-35E, which presents some noise issues, but don't let that deter you, as some of the most beautiful parts of the trails are in that section.
  • Good place to go out and enjoy the scenery and catch pokemon
