  • I checked several websites that had conflicting dates the Festival of Lights would be on until Jan. 8th. I called Oglebay before we left our room & followed the prompts on the phone. They said it woul...  more »
  • We grew up in the area and love to go back when we can to enjoy this park. You will always spot hordes of deer grazing along the roads and paths. So much to se and do here.
  • We drove a little over an hour from Pittsburgh to see the Festival of Lights. We chose to pay less than the $20 donation. I'm not sure it's worth $20, but maybe to some people! The display was not lik...  more »

  • We stayed Friday and Saturday. The staff was extremely accommodating and the modernized bathrooms were so very, very nice. We had one complaint regarding the current condition of the Jones golf course and we were accommodated very well. Not normally like that. Great entertainment Saturday night. Two gentlemen on acoustic guitars. My husband and I loved it! We will be back. My only request would be softer mattresses. But then we all have our preferences and you can't make everything perfect for the masses.
  • Very disappointed in the room. Needs updated, money to value ratio is poor, feel like I am in 1970 again. Also two staff to handle 4pm check in...unacceptable. Beautiful grounds, winter lights and very nice staff prob keep Oglebay afloat. Will not rent a room again.
  • Have just learned that for the 2nd year in a row, the entire week I will be at Oglebay, the indoor pool and hot tub will down for "regular maintenance". Very very disappointed in Oglebay for this decision. The out of door pool is closed this time of year, so that is not even an option. The first year I stayed a week at Oglebay, one of the highlights of my day was to enjoy the indoor heated pool after a very long day. The room cleanliness is mediocre at best, but I overlooked all of the other deficiencies because I did enjoy the indoor pool so much.
  • A comfortable yet sprawling resort. Was telling at check in when directions were given to drive to a room by car. Nice scenery atop a ridge. Pool was welcoming and relaxing.
  • Played the Arnold Palmer course. Hard but very nice? Fastest greens ever played. Well worth the money and will play again.
