  • Our family loves this place. This is where my daughter learned how to bike. Our Bible study group meets here once a year. My friend celebrates her birthday here. The lake is a good place for boating. ...  more »
  • I have been going here ever since I moved to Winfield back in 1992 and I keep forgetting it is only a few miles from my house. I have had picnics, cookouts, get togethers and just throwing balls or ca...  more »
  • We love to canoe or kayak at Blackwell. There is also excellent fishing and hiking. Walking, running and biking are excellent.  more »
  • Awesome paths and great scenery. Wildlife can be seen sometimes and its an amazing time to interact with nature or just have a nice walk with a friend
  • We went fishing here and launched our boat. It's a nice place, clean, quiet, but didn't catch much! But that's pretty much anywhere I go so maybe it's me!
  • Getting to the place was not as easy as we had hoped; for some reason the address is not posted accurately online and the GPS took us there in a roundabout manner. We enjoyed walking to the top of a hill there and then coming down :-) There are a lot of ducks there and consequently a lot of excrement which has not been cleaned up in awhile. Some of the places are hard to find via the map, and some of the places require you to walk on crushed graveled roads next to the road that vehicles are driving on which did not seem safe. The Egret trail was nice to walk, however it was hard to find (it leads down from the family campground site) and was murky / muddy when we went (in November). This place may be different / better in summer though.
  • Very good picnic area with a good lake. In summer they have water activities and fishing.
  • Beautiful views. Great for family or just someone trying to go for a stroll. There is a hill to either try and get fit by going up a few times or to reach the top with that special someone and see who can count the most water towers.
