  • Beautiful, historic and huge. The grounds are host to many tours and festivals throughout the year. My favourite is the Maryland Wine event held each year.
  • Went for the Fourth of July events,2016. Adult & two kids. Great music, kids arts and craft area was very good, great staff and information. Lots of food/ food trucks. Security/safety were excellent. Parking was great. Could use more events for families, with the amount of space more room was available.
  • This is a very nice farm museum. They offer blacksmithing classes (which I took) on select weekends via the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland. Also, during the weekend they had a wine festival. Lots of historic views and buildings to check out on a slower weekend.
  • wonderful place to go - visit when there's not an event and its so peaceful but by all means go to a sponsored event - they're well organized
  • The petting zoo and the University of Maryland Garden are interesting. I do think the animals could use a bit more space, though. As a wedding venue it proved to be interesting and they were good hosts.
