  • This was spectacular. It's hard to put into words. The spiral staircases reminded of blarney castle. I have lived in Colorado for 30 years and never knew about this. I will be recommending this to all...  more »

  • If you have never seen Bishop Castle, put this on your list to see. It is very, VERY, unusual. It can be a bit scary to climb to the higher portions of the castle, but a must to get to the stain glass...  more »

  • Among the most impressive places on the content. Every stone placed by one man, persucated by the feds for allowing people to visit for free. Inspiring.
  • So scary to trust the construction, but seems OK since I'm alive now after climbing the tallest tower. Parking is easy access on the highway and portapotties as you enter. There's a little gift shop too for those who hate heights. Go and pray nothing breaks while you trust in a 40 year old castle built by a man you know nothing about. Have fun, A Survivor
  • This place is interesting. Beautiful in its own right, but with two kids afraid of heights, it's fun for about 5 minutes. We instead, took pictures and hiked an easy trail until the hubby and daughter conquered the high, see through bridges. They had a good time. I went with no expectations. I didn't regret going, but I wished for something a little more. It was ok.
  • This place is just amazing. There isnt really parking for it...any explanation for it...it just is. You'll find out all you need to from experiencing it. The drive from I-25 was nice, get a great view of Lake Isabel on the way up. Get to Bishops Castle and park on the side of the highway, everyone seems to just mesh in. When we went, they had porta potties, and someone selling some BBQ. No admission, but Bishop has a mission. Go to the gift shop and support the cause, and be ready to explore and be amazed at this 1 mans life's mission. If you are afraid of heights, you can enjoy the lower levels. Stairs are hard to get up and down with a lot of visitors.
  • An amazing structure. Not for the faint of heart. Lots of awesome staircases. ..some a bit harrowing. Be careful there is real danger ...this ain't Disney. That is what makes it so fun! A worthy scene.
