  • We visited with another family. We have two kids, 11 and 8, they have twins that are 6. We had a great time. We rented Kayaks and paddled around in the fresh water pond. The kayak prices were pretty reasonable and they had plenty of kayaks available. Then we walked over the sand dunes and did some body surfing in the waves. The beach was not crowded at all. We even saw a sea lion! The first time any of us had seen one in the wild. Definitely worth spending a day of your vacation here.
  • Great refuge that has a lively ecosystem from the pond to the ocean. It's a little bit of a drive especially when you get to the dirt road, but it's well worth to avoid the crowds at some of the other beaches on the island. It helps to be a member too! Quick note, the pond is a great spot for paddle boarding.
  • This hidden gem has one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to and is never crowded. Today I was swimming with seals! Beautiful scenery everwhere...nature at its best.
