West Point Museum reviews
Very informative for new parents on the Long Gray line journey. We have visited this 3 times now and are amazed with all the memorabilia. It is great for the history buff. more »
Hands down, one of the best military Museums I have visited. And my wife can tell you, we have been to a lot! The quality of the artifacts and the well written history are what folks will love and... more »
Although my 11-year-old daughters found the museum a bit dry ( they expected more like the Holocaust Museum in DC), this is a museum for the serious student of history. There are countless artifacts.... more »
The museum has a lot of artifacts with plenty of informative signs. Very reading heavy museum. It's divided into six galleries, though two are just weapons and are basically combined. Of the other four, one is devoted to the history of the school, and the other three cover the US involvement in war since the revolution. There is also a visitor center next door, but it's for the school, and is more like an advertisement than any kind of museum.
As someone who also took the West Point Base tour, I love History and other such cultural things. I could feel the emotions that come off of those weapons, I could feel it. There was a gut feeling of amazement, wonder, and light fear as my family and I walked around this military based museum. It was honestly so incredible.
I took my grandson there and he loved it. Then I took my good friend there and he and I had such a great time. Outstanding place to visit.
Small museum with limited displays. Not crowded even on Sunday. Free parking and entrances.
Not a big museum but a lot of things to learn and explore. A good place to bring kids to. Very inspiring!
