Palm Beach Outlets, West Palm Beach
(4.2/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Palm Beach Outlets is a shopping mall in West Palm Beach, Florida. Opened on February 14, 2014, it was developed on the site of the demolished Palm Beach Mall in 2013 and 2014.Opened in 1967 as Palm Beach Mall, it was the ninth climate-controlled mall developed in Florida. Despite clear visibility from Interstate 95 and two major renovations, strong competition from newer shopping destinations, high area crime rates, and ultimately tentative speculation on redevelopment, the shopping center was perceived as a dead mall, and closed in early 2010. Three stores remained open until 2013: J. C. Penney and George's Music which had outdoor entrances, and a Firestone outparcel.HistoryPalm Beach Mall early yearsWhen the mall originally opened on October 26, 1967, it was touted by its developer, the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation, as the largest mall in the Southeastern United States. The founding anchors included J.C. Penney's, which moved from its historic store downtown on Clematis Street about three miles (5 km) southeast, Jordan Marsh and Richards. By the end of the decade, the mall also featured Walgreens, Lerner Shops, Food Fair, Woolworth, and The Mall Cinema 1-2-3-4 quadraplex.

  • Unless you live nearby, don't bother going there. Very small outdoor mall. Nothing like other outlet malls. Near Christmas time and although mall was empty parking was still a mess.
  • To stop from Miami to Orlando or roam the area highly recommended to visit, very similar to the Premium Outlets in Orlando, great prices and all brands and very quiet people.

  • This place is a paradise for shopaholics. In one place such a variety of branded stores, and when you consider that each discount is just super. Here you can spend the whole day. There are several public canteens for a snack and continue shopping. Better to come to the opening, then not to hassle with finding parking spaces.

  • Good place for quality deals, clearance is a bang for your buck, but there's a reason this place is an outlet location. Some places charge too much, while others charge too little for poor quality. Some stores that are pretty good. Depends on invidivual taste.
  • Great improvement over what it was before. They really cleaned up the area, much safer to visit, and some of the restaurants they added are very good (BJs for example). JC Penny had guts for staying before, good thing they re-built this place.
  • Pros: Clean, felt cozy, some shops have some great deals that beat some of the larger mega outlet malls at other locations in the state, lots of selection, on-site Whole foods with a large in-store cafe, coffee (starbucks, whole foods, häagen dazs), restaurants and other standard retail shops and personal services located on and across the complex, plenty of parking was available on weekday of visit, quick on/off highway. Cons: much of the plaza is open to elements (rain or shine), some of the outlet shops are little on smaller side compared to other ultra large outlet malls. Overall: While not the largest, felt like a nice relaxed outlet mall without the overly trafficked feel of the larger mega outlets.
  • Great selection of stores. From name brand to off brand you will find clothes and toys of your liking.
  • Super nice mall , a lot different stores. The parking areas clean and the food court is amazing. ..
