  • This is a really cool place to go to. I grew up coming here on field trips and for various events. It is the same temp inside year round, so it is a good place to go anytime.
  • Been here two times once with family and once with friend. Great both times. Beautiful creations of nature.
  • My family and I have been to caverns in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia and this one is now our favorite. Very scenic and lots of crystals and the COLOR! Spectacular. The reason i only gave ...  more »

  • My wife had been wanting to take me to Ohio Caverns for years, but we never had gotten around to it. So we finally had free time on Veteran's Day and we went, and I'm so glad we did. Due to the time of year, they were only doing the "Winter Tour" which is about 1-hour long. They ensure you don't touch anything as the oils on your hands can and will damage the delicate formations in the caverns. The temperature is always 54 degrees in there (no matter the season) so keep that in mind. The stalactite and stalagmite formations were amazing as were many of the colors from the minerals in the rocks. You learned the history and geology of the caverns and how they compare/contrast to others in the region/world. The staff were wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful on all things (even jump-starting a car for someone who left a car door ajar so their battery drained). Definitely will go back. A bit of a hidden gem in Ohio.
  • This was a great homeschool field trip! Quinn was our tour guide and she was great with kids and very knowledgeable about the cave system. The school price was affordable and it was a great experience! You are so close to such amazing formations! Keep it nice!
  • This was really fun!! This is fun for ALL ages. If you are claustrophobic, or even a little, this is not the place for you. Not even a little. The crystals aren't the kind you'd think of. But everything had a very simple beauty that I love. They have really cool and beautiful stuff in the gift shop, including bags of sand you can sift in the water and get little gems, arrowheads, fossils and others!
  • I have been to caves in Kentucky South Dakota Arizona and Michigan. I have to say this was one if the most beautiful caves I have ever been in. Truly a natural wonder. Don't take my word for it. Go see it. Definitely worth a bucket list slot.
  • Take both tours! They have 2 different tours through different parts of the caverns. We took both tours, Historic and Natural Wonder. Our guide was friendly and full of information. Both tours were interesting and a relaxing cool walk on a hot summer day. The Historic Tour was like going through an abandoned mine. All the beautiful formations and crystals had been taken out of the cave from 1897 to the early 1900s. The lighting was a safer replica of the original. The Natural Wonder Tour was beautiful. This part of the caverns was opened later and has protected from damage. The lighting was dramatic and highlighted the best features. Taking both tours really showed how we should keep things protected for our future generations.
