Established in 1996, the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center collects, restores and displays historical aircraft, chronicles the origin and development of rotary wing aircraft and teaches about their lifesaving missions. As the only helicopter museum in the country it focuses on the science and technology of vertical flight to educate and inspire all generations. The museum displays over 35 civilian and military helicopters, autogiros and convertaplanes. Visitors can climb aboard helicopters of all kinds for a truly unique hands-on experience. The museum is located in historic West Chester, Pennsylvania, where this nation’s rotary wing aviation began and still thrives today.

  • Spend two hours and learn about what makes a rotary wing aircraft elevate and fly forward. Great learning opportunity for kids too!

  • If you love helicopters this place is for you! Kids and adults can board a couple of the birds on display. Tons of history and connections to the Philadelphia market. Don't miss the only V-22 Osprey out on the tarmac, it's the only one in the world open to public viewing.

  • in fact this is my first ever helicopter show and it was fatabulous. Great entertainmentfor kids. Over 40 different sized helicopters and lots of fun activities. Helicopter rides too. staff were cooperative.. Great time i had this weekend
