  • Amazing used bookstore with a very unique feel and design. Snake your way through 4 floors of books to where you are guaranteed to find something that you are looking for (or maybe something that you aren't). It's also nicely away from the noise and congestion of everything in SE Pennsylvania. Books are also of good quality and condition.
  • For serious book lovers who can tolerate extreme temperatures and aren't allergic to dust or mold. I saw this place listed on Atlas Obscura. I consider myself a book lover, so Baldwin's Book Barn seemed like a logical place to visit. We visited in August and the damn Book Barn isn't air conditioned but they had a few fans going. There are so, so many books spread across several floors. Many of the books are ridiculously old and outdated (but not in a vintage or antique sort of way). To reach each floor, you must negotiate a set of narrow, wooden, creaky stairs. This building is very old and probably very difficult to maintain. However, it was super dusty everywhere and smelled of mold throughout. The books aren't well organized, so I gave up on browsing. I sat and sweated (and sort of prayed for death) while my wife circled and circled each floor. The owner seemed very nice and they had some well preserved rare books on display in front of store. I was very relieved to exit the Book Barn and I won't be back.
  • This is a special place. Take some time and visit during the holiday season and pick up a book or two. The visit alone is worth your time, finding a treasure or two will make it time we’ll spent.
  • Crazy amount of used books on multiple floors, well categorized. Many are decades old, like a 1990s guide on how to use the internet. Also, there's no heat so in the winter come well layered.
  • Great place for finding a new used book... Or enjoying one out on the lawn, under the shady trees.
