  • Always a fun time. We always find something new each year. The cream puffs are the best! Next year we are going to taste test wines...that should be fun.
  • We make a point to visit each year the kids love the great slide (most affordable attraction there). The food is greasy as the locals seem to like it. Animals plenty. We've only visited during the day...  more »

  • So big wasn't even able to enjoy everything in one day. So many things to do. Differently want to go back and it was awesome to park on the runway.
  • This was my first Wisconsin State Fair - it was a great day and overall I enjoyed it. The music and bar scene was incredible - can't say enough about the options to sit and listen to great music! on the flip side, the lack of bathrooms and garbage/recycling cans was not good. Trying to throw something out meant you'd walk for a long time before finding a garbage can - I found this odd. Also, the permanent bathrooms are pretty much from the 1970's, which is fine, but they have bathroom attendants inside offering items for a tip. Very odd. It was very hard to find healthy food at this fair - I can't eat many items and I certainly realize this is a fair after all, but vegetarian offerings that weren't deep fried were non existent. Overall a good time though and great people watching!
  • My family has been going to the fair for several days every year for the past 8 years. The food and drinks get better and better every year. You can count of your old favorites to be there and there are so many new creations to try that you will not go hungry. the shopping pavilion is a nice retreat from the heat with so many vendors to look at. the entertainment is great. the evenings are the best when the good rock bands come out. We ALWAYS see the Bobby Friss Band. He is a staple every year. We also saw Here Come The Mummies. That was a good funky change of pace. It can get crowded but it is worth it. the crowd is normally friendly and means its a good day to be there.
  • Big park. The state Fair was fun, but extremely pricey. Lots of cool things to do
  • We are from Illinois so we decided to try the Wisconsin state fair out and it was alright. I will say the ride section of the fair is pretty ridiculous... in a bad way. So we bought my daughter a band that in theory is unlimited rides (or so you would assume coming from Illinois). Apparently all the band means is that each ride costs less tickets but you only get a certain amount a 'band' tickets too so really you can only go on like 5 or 6 rides with the purchase of a band.. Rip off.
