Heard this place was equal to Pike Place Market in Seattle. Not even close. Took all of about 10 minutes to go through it.
Pybus hosts the local farmers market, so on Saturday, it's a great place to go and see all the offerings. The inside is full of permanent vendors, and there's a nice selection to choose from.
This is a perfectly located "festival marketplace" located right on the river with access to the famous bike trail. There's plenty of parking, bikes are available, and there are plenty of restaurants ... read more »
It is a very tiny market but I love the idea. The restaurants inside are all wonderful. They even have a cheese place and winery! I love the days when they have the farmers selling fruits outside.
When I saw the building for the market I thought I was at the wrong place, but when I walked in I was so happy to see it was not as boring as it seemed from the outside. There were many places to eat and shop. I stopped to have some amazing mango gelato and lemon sorbetto at Ice. I was upset that I had already had a meal before stumbling upon this place. The restaurants seem like they would have been a lot better than Taco Time chips and salsa.
I love the community events that are always happening here! Produce at the weekly farmer's market here is really cheap and fresh, too. Pybus is a great family or tourist thing to do on a weekend walk on the loop trail.
It's a great location for Wenatchee to have. Its always bustling on the weekends and can even get a little crowded. I'd recommend going on a weekday if you are going for the shops and restaurants that are always here.
This is one of my wife and my favourite places in town. The selection of shops runs toward higher-end food and drink places, with a casual, airy environment. They have taken some pains to maintain the look of the building in its original incarnation as a steel fabrication plant, so the atmosphere tends to be relaxed and comfortable. Weekends usually see a large variety of booths for local small businesses down the market's centerline, and there is very frequently live music in the evenings. If you are looking for a good, relaxing place to take a walk around in the morning or afternoon (most of the shops close down at 6, aside from the restaurants) then it is most definitely a great spot to stop. If you enjoy a walk, park down at Riverfront Park, and stroll the half-mile or so down the loop trail to Pybus. Makes a great, refreshing afternoon walk!
