  • My husband and I just wanted to get away from it all, and there were only two parks in the state park system that had a dog friendly cabin available. Because we had never been here, we booked the one ...  more »
  • I really loved this State Park. It is perfect for dog lovers! The only problem is there are a lot of road closures right now due to construction in the park so you can't travel past the cabins.  more »
  • This short and easy hike was a pleasant break from my auto touring last July. East walking and about two hours leaving time for pondering life and enjoying the views. Lake Side Trail - 3 miles - Begin...  more »

  • The park and the staff were great, the lake was beautiful and very enjoyable to kayak around. The wide open camp site wasn't my favorite... I prefer to be surrounded by trees but even that wasn't so bad when the stars were visible. The fact that the people next to us were so loud all night, even working on a squeaky bicycle at 3am and the camp host didn't seem to care was a bit of a let down.
  • My wife and I LOVE this place. Nice hiking around the big lake, close to the PA Grand Canyon, beautiful park, great for family getaways, well kept, wonderful staff, and the yurts are our favorite! There are only two of them in the park, so they book quickly. If you haven't stayed in one, it's a real treat and it's amazing how many people they can accommodate! We'll be back again and again.
  • Wasn't crowded, clean bath house/restroom, picnic tables available with a grill. Cool play ground for grandkids
  • Very serene. A great place to take your family for some outdoors activities.
  • Good place for camping and relaxing. It's a short distance from PA Grand Canyon.
