Wells Beach, Wells

(4.5/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
With its soft sand and picturesque views, it comes as no surprise that both visitors and locals alike love Wells Beach. Enjoy a leisurely stroll, splash in the brisk waves, and watch for seals. Kids will enjoy this family-friendly seaside spot, where they have plenty of room for games and sandcastle-building. Bring along a picnic basket or pop into one of the nearby restaurants for some famous Maine lobster. Watch out for high tide, when the beach diminishs to half the size it is during low tide. Put Wells Beach into our Wells vacation planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Go here all the time. Summer - Winter weather permitting. Love watching the waves when a storm is on the way. Or just sitting on the beach listening to the waves.  more »
  • Even in winter this is a beautiful beach. If you like the cold and New England feel this is a great place to visit when in the area. Parking is tough so if you can walk or bike that is better.  more »
