  • Rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. The soaps were better than the usual cheap stuff you find at a hotel and the water pressure/temp control were excellent. Beds were comfortable, but the walls were a little thin. We had decent neighbors so there wasn't much noise. We ate at their buffet for seafood night - it was pretty good. They kept the crab legs in good supply. The pool area was awesome! They had a nice section for family fun with 2 water slides and a lazy river and a significant separate section for adults. The adult section had several hot tubs, a swim-up bar and a place to play water sports like water volleyball. The only complaint I have is the smoke smell that is everywhere once you get to the casino, event center and restaurant area. Our non-smoking room didn't smell like smoke at all which was really nice since I'm sure they have some rooms that are smoking ones. Overall, pretty good stay.
  • I attended a concert then stopped in the casino for a bit. The casino is not at all equipped for a large number of people. I say this for cars coming in and out of the casino, ways to walk in and especially out of the concert area, and the number of people in the casino itself congesting all of the rooms. There were no maps or floor plans (we asked when we eventually found an info desk) to become familiar with where in the casino you want to be. Smoking is allowed indoors, which was unpleasant, and it wasn't until we were nearly done that we discovered there was a non smoking section. Concert goers were offered a few free items to entice them to go inside, like we did, but it was unclear where a person could redeem the offers. When you did find out, the waiting lines took 20-50 minutes. The only positive thing about the entire casino layout is the outdoor concert area with a gentle, grassy slope that was good for viewing. Overall a very disappointing experience.
  • Great incentives! I didn't know about the weekly and daily incentives at this casino. I know it's just luck at a casino, but staff that genuinely seems to care, is always a plus! I know that there are a lot of staff that are only nice because you're spending money there, I'm not naive. But, the last time I was there, I saw a side of a few that actually took the time to help me with what I needed, that didn't include money! Best casino I've ever been to!
  • Made my first visit to Treasure Island last night for the Willie Nelson concert. The only thing good about it was the concert. We arrived a couple hours before the concert, thinking we would eat at the buffet first. By the time we got parked and walked across the field and paved lot...and found a bathroom, we didn't think there would be enough time for the buffet. We went into the concert area and stood in line for a $9 double cheeseburger and $4 water. My husband offered to buy me a concert t-shirt, but when I saw they were charging $60 for a ladies tank top, I quickly walked away. The $8 beers were warm. The lines for the porta potties were a block long, which was just poor planning on the part of the casino. The seats at the concert were so close together that you couldn't help rubbing shoulders with your neighbor. The joke going around was that it was worse than an airplane. So, the concert started at 7:00, and Willie didn't even take the stage until 10:00! If we would have known that, we could have gone to the buffet. Then it came time to leave. We had a difficult time finding our vehicle. It was just a huge field, not marked off by sections or rows. Would it be that difficult to put some markers up? Leaving took a long time. There were very few drivers who practiced the courtesy of letting someone into the road out. Maybe there should be more people in that huge field directing traffic. I, and my family, will not be returning to TI in the future. Oh yes, they also ran out of food and soda in the concert area before Willie even took the stage. We were told they hadn't anticipated so many people. How could they not know how many tickets they sold!
  • I enjoy playing blackjack and was sceptical of the different variations they offer. I decided to play their free bet blackjack, and discovered it was a blast! I enjoyed the twist and had some very exciting hands! The dealers for the most part were very pleasant and made the experience fun. If you have a few bucks to lose and can stand the stale smell of smoke treasure island won't disappoint.
