  • This place is awesome! My husband, dog, and I stayed in a cabin on a mountain across the highway from this orchard. We drove by it everyday on our way to discover Western North Carolina. On the day we...  more »
  • Very busy place, prices are a but high - but the apple cider was great. We purchased an apple pie ($14.00), some apple cider, apple fritters and apple slushies. The slushies are mainly ice (don't waste your time), but the pie and cider was amazing. Be prepared to wait in line, this place is pretty popular.
  • Must stop Bakery. Apple turnovers, muffins, and Apple loafed are our favorite. Everyone waits patient for it to open in August every year. Love it
  • Not only can you get produce that is Farm Fresh, their apple cider is second to none. That is just the beginning of a smorgasbord of homemade southern style items including turnovers, jams and jellies. Pick up some local honey while you're there. I could go on all day. If you will be going by or near Barbers Orchard, you should definitely get in the spirit of the South and slow it all down a little bit. Stop and take a look around. No one would fault you for thinking you'd died and gone to heaven.
  • We've been going to Barber's since the late 1970's (when we were "young"). We had friends who lived there. Our first visit was to the stone building with an open loading dock for picking up the apples. In the fall we order ahead for apple loaves and doughnuts (my husband loves them). At the appointed time of pick up, our order is warm from the oven which makes them very fresh for freezing. (They are great for freezing.) I give the loaves for Christmas presents and people just love them. We are now in our 70's and we say THANKS for the vision to carry on from the family who started the orchard. Keep up the good work.
  • Ya just have to go every year. Best apple and fresh baked pastries in WNC 💜😎
