  • First I must tell you that I am a Non-Smoker. I have come here since this Casino opened and have never been a Happy-Camper. I have been to many Casinos in my life and this has got to be the worst for ...  read more »
  • I really enjoy Gun Lake. They have a variety of slots and tables games. They keep up with the lastest / popular slots. Reading the other reviews to me sounds like sour grapes. If you go to get rich, t...  read more »
  • Nice little casino. Still have reasonable minimums at table games such as $5.00 Craps, even during busy hours! Slot machines are good and varied, but seem tight on most visits. We absolutely love the ...  read more »
  • "Tell others why you don't like this place." This first sentence is what appeared when I put two stars, WTF is that about? I didn't say I didn't like GLC. Just to be clear every single thing in buinesss is rigged even posting on here. If your going to play always be prepared to lose as winning is far in between. It's not a bad casino and have only had two decent payouts of may be 2.4 k, I play max. I enjoy playing slots but don't go too GLC because my wife doesn't like it, she looses there always. We've been going there since standing out side and being turned away on thier first night of opening. Got in after returning from FK the next morning. I might stop on my own a few times. We have eaten at the restaurant and really not great, just remember it's not about you, it's always about GLC. Your nothing but the cash cows and if you can remember that you're going too enjoy it more. Coffee bar is horrible coffee and sometimes it's dirty and empty. I guess the people who work there are decent people trying too earn a living. Remember all advertising is lies and it's not the jack pot capital. Just like the commercials it doesn't look that when you're really there. It's convenient location for us but we gladly drive by it to go to FK or FW. We have won much more and more importantly food is better. I like gun lake casino (GLC), I like firekeepers (FK) better and four winds (FW) not so much. But I only gave two stars because of size, food and coffee bar not because you can't enjoy your visit. You just have to remember your just a cash cow and depends on time, day, workers mood as to how your experience is going to be. It's all in how it's managed, and if management isn't doing thier job by treating everyone respective including thier employees is how your visit depends. Don't blame management for payouts that tribal. Pic is at FK not GLC. .. Gun lake rocks. Edit add: I added a pic of a payout at FK that's not unusual 3k. Go play and enjoy GLC
  • Been playing here since they opened. I understand that I'm probably going to lose my money... But I always figured it would last longer. So, I finally got fed up with how quick my money would go and did some research. Turns out, Indian casinos are not held to the same payout standard are regular casinos. Indian casinos minimum payout is 75%. Most casinos in Vegas are in the mid-90's. Additionally, even if you think an Indian casino is not paying out the minimum 75%, there is no way to formally log a complaint. I would love to see a response on here, from the owners... On the merit of my statements.
  • I will be upfront and say that I lived in Vegas for around 6 years and have been to some of the best casinos there so I really tried to set my standards on a different level upon walking into this casino. I drove my motorcycle there and they had special motorcycle parking which was nice. I was able to get a player's card very quickly and the lady who helped me was very friendly. The promotion that was going on at the time was for free slot play to be added to your card in between 5 and $500 and of course I got the free $5. I played some nickel and penny slots and was able to play on that $5 for well over an hour. I also played a quick hand of roulette and my lucky numbers didn't hit but you have to roll with the punches. they had a live band doing covers on eighties and nineties songs which was actually pretty good so I secured a machine near the entertainment and just enjoyed myself there. if you are looking for something comprable to Vegas you need to keep looking. But if you are looking just to get out and have a good time play a few slot machines and maybe some table games then I'm sure this casino could scratch your itch. Overall I had a good service from the waitresses and had a decent time while I was there but I just wasn't overly impressed. It was very smoky in there. I quit smoking almost 6 years ago and really forgot how much I don't like being around smokers in a enclosed area like that. My girlfriend is also a non-smoker and really doesn't like this casino because of how Smoky it is so we probably won't return there even though it is close to us.
  • This casino in my opinion is probably the worst casino in the entire state of Michigan. Do not expect to win any significant sums of money. They are so small most of the machines are beaten to the pulp on a daily basis 24/7 . they have slot machines everywhere and many have multiple games and denominations but none of the titles you'd expect to play with many of them there from the time they opened their doors. The same players win over and over again which makes me think the entire dump is rigged. If you play anything higher than .50 on a machine you're money will be eaten like chocolate. Take my advice drive a few miles more to a real casino where you have a chance to win or a least have some fun while you're getting sponged. It's a money taker for sure and not worth the time you worked to throw away. If you like to play slot machines find another casino that has more choices. I say they lie when they say in their ads they are the jackpot capitol of Michigan and really should be taken to task on this claim. Don't believe me take your hundred and put it in any machine and see how fast it goes. You've been warned! edited to add; I wasn't sure if my opinion was based on my experiences at GL, so I took time to read the other comments and I stand firm this place is the pits and will take your money and you will not have a good time. I have lost so much money at this casino I requested to be banned so I am forced to drive to a better establishment.
  • I love GLC! The food at Sandhill Cafe is really quite delicious and you can't beat the price. The servers are friendly and it's not too smokey considering the whole casino is a smoking establishment. If you write reviews of a casino based on whether you win or lose, you're not doing it right. If everyone did that, the reviews would be useless. I review the people, the decor, and the overall feeling I have when I'm there. The casino is very well maintained and quite clean! I always feel welcome at this casino and win or lose, I recommend it to anyone!
