  • They have a day use area and a camping area. I have camped there with scouts and friends camp there when they visit. It is a nice park.  more »

  • I went there last summer with my best friend and am going today! We did pedal boats and thr mini golf course, (which was so bad we were laughing at it the entire time. I wouldn't suggest mini golf unless you have a great sense of humor). Pedal boating was fine but the area you could go in was very very small. It's a great spot, though, and we still had a blast!
  • Beautiful park with different sections for different activities. Picnic tables on the lake, playgrounds, small climbing wall, horseshoes, swimming beach, miniature golf, fishing, hiking, non-motorized boat rentals, camping, and ball fields. Definitely worth going.
  • Wonderful open spaces. Weekends and holidays can see crowds in the summer but rarely are there lots of people on weekdays and during the winter. I love to go running here--safe! A year pass for local residents makes it very affordable.
  • Could use some re-evaluation for the equine users for safety issues. It would be nice if they had an equestrian ONLY area. As it is you have to share the designated equestrian area with day users as well. We have had a few bad experiences with this ranging from children running up to the horses, cars parking right beside the trailer making it impossible to safely tie your horse. They also moved the water spout right next to the rock climbing wall. So while you are trying to get water, or hose off your horse you have children running around, as well as children/adults coming up from all angels asking to pet your horse. This happens also just in the general parking area. So you constantly have to watch out for this. They have a few(2) picnic tables in the horse area, but these have to be shared with general day seers as well. So it makes cooking out after a ride hard if they are busy, since you have no where else to park. This area also has limited shade, so most of the time you will be parking in full sun. The trails are nice, and well kept. Over 10 miles of trails. They offer yearly passes so that's a plus, and you have areas to walk your horse into the water which is just fun! They day use has lots of activities for children during the summer. But they do get very busy!
  • A nice place to hike by the lake. Hours vary by season however and they close very early in some parts of the year. Best check their website for operating hours.
