  • A hidden treasure for the history buff, come if you want to learn more about Waxhaw history! The staff is aways friendly and ready to answer questions. Would recommend to visit when there are big events in order to see reenactors dressed up and have extra things to see and do!
  • It is a great museum about the history of waxhaw and is a great family place
  • "Open three days a week but we knock off early on Friday". I have great memories of this place from visiting with my dad as a child. Tried to go a few times recently. Showed up on a Tuesday (should've looked online) of course they were closed. Came back on Friday and had 2 friends that wanted to go. Showed up at 4 and was told they were closing early... I said great, we drove an hour to get here because you're supposed to be open until 5. And the lady wanted to open back up for us, which was very nice of her, but no one wants to be the only folks there knowing some one is waiting for you to leave. Not at a museum. I may go back. I really don't know.
  • Very quiet, except when you have Civil War or WWII living histories! It is a historical place.
  • Andrew Jackson birth place
