Horse Sleigh Farm Reviews

After visiting the farm on October 24th, 2014, I will never return, nor recommend it to anyone. Not only is the farm rundown and not very appealing, the witch who was in charge of the hayride played h... more »

Visited farm last night (10-18-14). Awful! Last year's haunted corn maze was great, this year owner skimped by hiring a fraction of actors. Only the small maze was haunted (barely) and the large maze ... more »

My family and I went to Sleigh Horse Farm in hopes of taking a horse drawn wagon out to the pumpkin patch and possibly a pony ride. We arrived at the farm seeing the the parking lot was quite crowded ... more »

We didn't have a horrible time, but there were 5 things that took away from the experience my family and I were expecting from visiting places like this in the past. 1. A ton of signage that didn't tell you anything. This caused long lines unnecessarily, only to get to a cashier that appeared aggravated (rightly so) to answer the same questions person after person. Even after purchasing tickets, we still didn't know what to do. 2. Smashed pumpkins everywhere. 3. A boom box blasting distorted fm music really took away from the charm. 4. Nobody went out of their way to be friendly and nobody was warm. The people giving pony rides, the tractor drivers, the cashiers, etc. 5 What Really ruined the experience was what happened with the hay bales. There were two sets of wrapped hay bales (called marshmallows) Both sets had kids, young and old, climbing on them and walking across them. No signage was present telling kids to stay off. So my 5 and 6 year old daughter climbed up and had more fun on these things than on anything else, save the 45 second pony ride. The lady riding the tractor stopped her tractor and screamed at the top of her lungs, "Everyone of you get off those hay bales and if I see you on there again, I will personally see to it that you are escorted off the property." My two daughters were extremely upset. I had to convince them that they didn't do anything wrong. The good side....The pumpkins were priced fairly. There are dozens of places like this will give you a better time.

10/14/13 Where do I start? Goodness. Bad food, long lines, lax employees, very limited animal zoo... The food you buy in the Southern Food Catering truck is far from homemade. The only animals to feed were sheeps. The gem mining yielded nothing but dirt and one small crystal marble. No employees came around to clean up the garbage that's thrown everywhere. Garbage cans were overflowing. So many other details that just ruined our visit here. Run, don't walk, away from this place! Totally disappointed...

after driving almost 2 hours b/c so many people rated this place 3-4 stars..this place sucked. the only cool part was the corn mazed.... everything else was horriable. nothing really to do with the kids. no entertainement..waste of time and gas. never again

Today 10/10/11 I drove an hour and a half to chester nj from Brooklyn ny, after reading these reviews, just to be disapointed! I called before I went bc it is a holiday I wanted to make sure the farm was up and running on a weekend schedule. The first thing I saw when I arrived was a sign with the words "no pony rides" are you kidding me!? This is the first question I asked on the phone I was assures Everything was up and running!!! This farm was just small, there was no one to greet you there...kinda depressing looking. I jumped in my car after looking around for 10 min and left! Not the kind of place I expected from the website. If you live near there its maybe something cute to take the kids too for an hour or 2 but that's about it! The bouncy house was tiny and old looking. The animals to pet were behind such tall fences, no way to even reach them. I didn't even give them a chance to see the pumpkin picking or corn maze. My kids just didn't look excited as they have been when we went to other farms in the area. This review was written by a real mom!

Complete disappointment. 8 doll per person for crap maze, 12 pound pumpkin cost 13 dollar. At the end we bought same sized pumpkin from path mark for 4 dollar. They do not have place to sit. I completely disagree with above positive comments about this farm. I have seen some 3-4 farms earlier, I would rate this one last. Go and check it and write review here... (trust me 8 dollars for that maze is not worth at all)
