  • This museum has so much history, information, and artifacts. We arrived right before they closed and had about an hour in the museum. It is not enough time to explore and really appreciate the two...

  • Simple but very interesting. The low fee to get in was definitely worth the experience. Staff were all super nice & helpful. Loved the gift shop, great stuff!
  • You could spend hours here looking at the historical items. Great way to learn Texas history! Plus, they have a fun room for the kids to play in.
  • Excellent historical information and such a welcome place for all ages. Probably one my most favorite museums to visit.
  • Love the museum! It's set up so well and has some very interesting exhibits. The building looks nice too, and doesn't look 50 years old. Great job keeping it up. I remember being able to go straight to the museum before, but now we're being forced to go to the visitor's center to get tickets. I assume this is because they want traffic in the gift shop, so it's understandable. What I didn't like was the new movie. Wow, it was cheesy! And it left SO much information out that the last movie covered. We kept seeing the same scenes over and over again. I understand why they wanted to focus on Independence Hall, but blew over some really important information about the War. We had a friend from New York come down and he was left confused about why they were even there to begin with so we had to fill in a lot of blanks. And we were all fighting dozing off watching it. Please go back to the older movie, it was excellent.
  • This was a fantastic museum of Texas History. Presented in an engaging manner. The kids area is fantastic as it takes kids back to how life was at the start of Texas with hands play. Milking a cow, cooking over a fire, dressing up in period clothes. The movie tells of the importance of the area, I recommend watching it prior to exploring the rest of the grounds to give context of the buildings.
